Great Circle is an agency that provides a unique spectrum of behavioral health services
to children and families. With specialized programs and highly-trained professionals,
we provide hope to those in difficult circumstances throughout Missouri and beyond.

The Great Circle Columbia campus offers residential treatment and other support services for children and youth to age 21. The six-acre site in the southeast Columbia area includes two cottages for boys and two cottages for girls, in which 48 children reside. The campus also features a dining/recreation hall, outdoor pavilion and administration building. Educational services are provided by Great Circle in cooperation with Columbia Public Schools for children in residential care and the transitional living group home. Depending on the child’s needs, residents may attend school in on-campus classrooms, public school or educational programs in the community. Community services are coordinated out of our satellite offices on Vandiver West.

Springfield

The Great Circle Springfield campus comprises eight acres in central Springfield. It includes six cottage residences for 69 children, a gymnasium, recreation complex, outdoor swimming pool, on-site classrooms and administrative offices providing services to children and families in the community. It is the home of the Ozarks Family Resource Center emergency shelter.

Unique to the Springfield campus is the The Ozarks Family Resource Center. The Ozarks Family Resource Center provides short-term shelter services for Southwest Missouri children removed from crises and homeless youth, and offers parenting skills education for families at risk for child abuse and neglect, domestic unrest or violence. The center provides a warm, safe and nurturing environment for newborns to 18-year-olds, and emphasizes family mediation. The facility meets state licensing requirements for emergency child care.

St. James

Great Circle's South Central region services are based in St. James, Missouri. Beautiful, wooded 250 acres surround the main campus which is comprised of eight cottages, an on-campus school, gymnasium, outdoor swimming pool, dining hall, indoor recreational center and riding arena, pavilion for outside activities, vocational arts center, medical arts building, and administrative offices.

Our Edgewood campus provides compassionate care and treatment to restore children and strengthen families through intensive therapy, special education, residential treatment, case management and support services. Located on 22 acres in the heart of Webster Groves, MO, Edgewood is a beautiful, calming home for the children in Great Circle's care. Great Circle also maintains administrative offices in the Central West End of St. Louis.

Steelville

The Great Circle Steelville campus, the Meramec Adventure Learning Ranch, is located just 20 miles off of the St. James campus. The Meramec Adventure Learning Ranch is situated on 1,200 pristine acres near the Mark Twain National Forest, and offers three miles of riverfront, wooded hills, fields, streams, bluffs and caves, as well as state-of-the-art recreational facilities. The campus offers therapeutic outdoor adventure learning opportunities through backpacking trips, adventure activities such as climbing, caving, wilderness trips, low and high ropes challenge courses, primitive skills and camping. Adventure activities are designed to be a catalyst for inspiring change in character and integrity in the youth. In a relatively short period of time, youth in these programs are able to change their perspective and gain increased efficacy, vision and hope.
