Therapeutic Foster Care services support children and teens in transition from residential treatment or whose needs cannot be met through traditional foster care placement.
Many children, including those who have suffered trauma, require additional support with behavioral and/or other mental health needs.
Our therapeutic foster care services are provided in a community family treatment home setting. Children and teens are placed in private, licensed homes that provide therapeutic, highly structured care within a family setting.
The client then lives in the Therapeutic Foster Care family home and attends school within the family’s community. Case managers conduct weekly face-to-face meetings with the child or youth and provider. Case managers also arrange for community-based treatment services as determined through the client’s Therapeutic Foster Care Treatment Plan.
